[2603] RelayDevkit

@DappsoverApps good job.

In the spirit of making it easier for others to audit, since Discord is not the friendliest for those who don’t use it frequently, I’m pasting screenshots from Discord:

You clearly have two testimonies in favor of the solution. I wish it was more, 3-5 could be great, but at least now there’s a sample.

I think a strong signal from the messages is that for blockchains in which tx costs are not negligible, this is a concern for builders, and a local relay kit is a useful tool for simulating tx costs, without which some projects may be left in the dark and weary of adoption.

In the meantime, while other delegates pitch in, I’d suggest you to try to expand a little on your research, try to obtain more testimonies, try to get a couple projects to commit to testing your application.

The main reason is that, I think, at $9660 total for the grant, plus a future proposal of $1800 for 6mo maintenance, this is erring on the expensive side, especially considering our latest guidelines, which tighten our budget and increase scrutiny of the return on investment for grants.

Overall, I tend to be more supportive of infrastructure projects, as they lay the foundation for future growth. But I’d recommend you gather some more confidence before posting the proposal for onchain vote.
