About Arana

We are a team experienced in DAO governance, operations, growth and research. Our members are deeply steeped in the crypto space and have multiple years of participation in protocol governance.

With delegation history for DEXs, money markets, L2s, liquid staking protocols, and stablecoins, our team is acclimated with a breadth of sectors. We also bring a diversity of work experience to DAOs–our members have consulted for companies like Immutable and dYdX, worked at crypto investment and trading firms, set up various validator nodes, and run educational events for universities.

Arana <> RSK

We have previously worked with Rootstock Labs, assisting them with making Rootstock’s ecosystem more robust. Namely, our primary contribution has been facilitating the deployment of Uniswap v3 on RSK, which has since become a predominant DEX on the L2, holding nearly $20M of TVL at peak. Through this process, we’ve become quite familiar with the architecture of Rootstock and have gained insight into its unique market potential in the Bitcoin space. We have also been voting on Rootstock governance proposals from day-one as one of the initial Rootstock Collective Shepherds.

Core Values

  • Diligence: We thoroughly investigate each proposal, engaging with other delegates and service providers to gather diverse perspectives and insights prior to making a decision.

  • Transparency: We openly share information about decisions and their rationales, providing clear and accessible updates, and ensuring that all processes are effective to the community.

  • Innovation + Sustainability: We champion initiatives that will both allow the DAO and its underlying protocol to sustain its advantages, all the while continuously looking to iron out flaws and introduce efficiencies.

Conflict of Interest Declaration:

We are actively involved as delegates and contributors in multiple other DAOs. Any relevant conflicts of interest will be publicized when needed.

January 2026 Voting Decisions

[Grant 2601] Recognized Delegate Compensation

Voting Position: For

Rationale:

Ecosystems struggle to retain active governance participation without the presence of incentives. We are therefore in favor of this proposal and advocate for its continuity based on the number of grants proposals that go onto Tally.

[2507 Grant Proposal] Rootstock QuestHub - Milestone 4

Voting Position: For

Rationale:

Since the team has been communicative to delegate feedback and has addressed the noted bugs/UI concerns, we are content with approving Milestone 4 for QuestHub.

[2512 Grant 1] RootStock Global Wallet by Blockscout

Voting Position: For

Rationale:

We voted FOR this proposal. The concerns raised around demand, privacy, and the whole concept of wallet as a service are valid, but the scope was better defined towards the latter part of the forum discussion and we tend to agree that investment into more user-focused initiatives like this can be valuable. Blockscout is one of the technically savvy teams that we’ve seen do good work around the blockexplorer end for numerous chains. Hopefully that experience translates here.

[2601 Grant] SwaptoX Aggregator – Milestone 1;SwaptoX is an existing product that has been live on Base for over four months.

Voting Position: Against

Rationale:

1. We do not believe this grant properly articulates its merits for delivering value to Rootstock’s DeFi ecosystem.

2. The author has not followed customary KYC procedures.

[2510] Grant Proposal - Self Sovereign Identity (SSI)

Voting Position: Against

Rationale:

To uphold the integrity of the grants process, we have voted against this proposal due to the mismatching capital requests on Tally vs the forum.
