About
DAOstar is dedicated to supporting the long-term success and sustainability of the DAO ecosystem by:
- Developing technical standards, interoperable infrastructure, and public goods
- Sharing insights on DAOs and decentralized governance through open-source research
- Creating a communal forum for DAO builders and fostering collective innovation
DAOstar is a 100% public good, nonprofit, no-token project, supported by many amazing projects and organizations, including Optimism, Arbitrum, ENS, Tally, Agora, and the Ethereum Foundation, among others.
Goal / Vision
By partnering with the Rootstock community, we will look to bring our expertise in DAO ecosystem security, grant program management, and governance best practices, in order to create a strong foundation on which the Collective can grow and thrive.
We believe that in order to succeed, DAOs need to maximize their shared impact through collaboration as well as competition. Through our participation as a Rootstock delegate, we hope to promote decentralized governance and open, collaborative research and development for the Bitcoin DeFi ecosystem.

Rationale: Why I expressed doubts about the sustainability of such a project, both from a user acquisition and retention perspective, I like the concept - a successful education/onboarding product could prove very useful for adoption - and think that the ask for the first milestone is reasonable. I ultimately voted “For” because the team has provided well-thought out responses to my concerns and seems very aligned with the direction and long-term health of the Rootstock Collective.

Rationale: JXLabs’ solution addresses a critical use case that aligns with Rootstock’s goals of promoting onchain sovereignty and the long-term utility of Rootstock smart contracts. As the smart contracts are already deployed on testnet, the team has demonstrated real progress, while frequent updates and open repos demonstrates the team’s dedication to transparency. The new milestones and Beta Tester Program also reaffirms the team’s focus on a user-centric growth roadmap.
Proposal: Winks.fun: On-chain actions on Rootstock within Twitter (milestone 1)
Vote: For
Rationale: Winks.fun milestone 1 because it is a well-scoped, low-risk deliverable with measurable KPIs. The team has proven technical expertise and their approach introduces a novel way to support adoption and user onboarding through seamless social integration. This milestone provides early proof of value while allowing the community to assess progress before committing further funds.
Proposal: Building Rootstock Community of Developers and Users in Ghana
Vote: Against
Rationale: The KYB process was not completed satisfactorily and the funding request does not align with the milestones outlined on the forum.
