Idea/Sanity Check: Multi-Protocol ERC-4626 Yield Vault for Rootstock, Strategic-tier pre-RFC walkthrough

@LEGOSI, thanks for reading it through. The formal proposal is up: [2609 Grant] Rootstock Yield Vault: immutable ERC-4626 rBTC vault across LayerBank and Sovryn

Your five questions are answered there in order, under “Performance targets and success metrics”, with the post-M4 criteria in the Value Commitment Plan right below them. The numbers stay in one place, on the thread that gets voted on.

On the demand doubt itself, the short version: the rBTC case is distribution, a wallet-reachable, audited, immutable place to hold rBTC, with the Blockscout LOI and the testnet integration behind it. It does not rest on rBTC lending yield, and the proposal says so. Whether that case holds is measured on chain, first by the Phase 0 depositor gate at 0.5 rBTC of exposure, then by the USD 10,000 floor at day 90 before M4. If the distribution case fails, the USD 10,000 for the deployments is never requested, and what the DAO has paid for is the audit of the allocation logic the DOC vault reuses.

If any of the five answers falls short, say so on the proposal thread and I will answer there. For anyone arriving later: this thread was the pre-RFC discussion, and the proposal’s Differences section lists the changes from the opening post here.
