For those who want to participate, here’s an in depth explanation of how the delegate race works.
1. Where is the race held?
The race is held on the Rootstock Collective Forum — right here!
→ Official Race Thread – Post Your Delegate Pitch Here (link to actual post)
Each delegate candidate submits their application as a reply to the main Delegate Race thread. This is where the community can read your vision, ask questions, and decide who to support.
2. What are the rules of the race?
It’s simple and fair. The race is designed to spotlight high-quality governance contributors.
Basic rules:
-
You must post your delegate pitch in the forum thread within the application window (until 14 May 2025 midnight UTC)
-
Pitches should include: who you are, what you stand for, and how you’ll serve Rootstock governance
-
You must register a .rsk domain for your delegate identity (e.g. stablelabdelegate.rsk)
-
You must be available and willing to actively vote and communicate with the community
-
We’ll host optional intro calls and provide onboarding support
3. How do you win the race?
Delegates are selected based on:
-
Total delegated stRIF received (visible in the dApp or on Tally)
-
Clarity and quality of your delegate pitch
-
Community support, visibility, and engagement
-
Bonus: previous contributions to Rootstock or other DAOs
At the end of the race, the top 5–6 candidates with strong delegation and good standing will be onboarded as official delegates — and may receive loaned voting power or other support to get started.
4. How do you enter the race?
-
Register a delegate wallet and get a .rsk domain like stablelabdelegate.rsk
-
Write your delegate pitch (name, values, priorities, experience)
-
Post your pitch as a reply to the Delegate Race thread
-
Share it with your network, call for support, and get stRIF holders to delegate to you!
You can delegate voting power directly via:
→ Tally | RootstockCollective
We’ll also run a short campaign on X and Discord/Telegram to help raise visibility for all delegate candidates. Don’t be shy — we’re here to help you succeed.
