We have carefully reviewed the proposal, along with the feedback and the responses provided, and have decided to vote against it.
The proposed development introduces a potential systemic point of failure. If the kit were to contain a vulnerability, it could propagate across all projects that rely on it. Unlike other cases where a vulnerability impacts only a single project, in this scenario the risk could scale across multiple projects simultaneously, creating a broader ecosystem-wide concern.
We believe this represents a significant risk, and that a solution of this nature should be approached more holistically, developed by a team with stronger expertise in similar tools, and involve a higher level of coordination, alignment and oversight from the Rootstock team.
