By delegating to Curia for Rootstock, delegators acknowledge that Curia will participate on a best-effort basis and will not be liable for any damages related to this participation in the Rootstock.
Rationale: We’re supportive of this proposal for a Rootstock Collective Ambassador Program. It’s a great step toward expanding global reach and building a more engaged community, as empowering passionate individuals to become ambassadors through this program will directly boost awareness and contribute to educational outreach. The clearly outlined Scope of Work will be helpful in tracking ambassador effectiveness and ensuring measurable progress.
Rationale: We’re supporting Vottun’s application because it’s expanding the Rootstock developer ecosystem through its gamified educational system, it’s enabling a wide array of high-value use cases like RWA and digital credentials via its versatile APIs and it’s simplifying dApp development with powerful tools for rapid deployment on Rootstock.
Rationale: We’re voting “Against” this proposal for Roketto. While it is designed to dynamically inject crucial liquidity into the Rootstock DeFi ecosystem by facilitating Launchpad token sales, we find the proposal still lacks a clear cost breakdown for each phase. Furthermore, a detailed plan for how Roketto intends to integrate with Rootstock after the funding stage remains unaddressed.
Rationale: We support this proposal because LayerBank presents a strong strategic fit for the Rootstock ecosystem, backed by its proven cross-chain capabilities and user traction. With over 693,000 users and integrations across 16 major ecosystems, LayerBank has demonstrated its ability to scale and deliver tangible value across diverse DeFi environments. Its mission to become an omnichain liquidity hub closely aligns with Rootstock’s goals to enhance capital efficiency, attract new liquidity, and broaden user adoption.
Rationale: We support this proposal because bridging assets is one of the important things for the chain to grow its users. Symbiosis has already proven itself with a significant total volume, support for 36 chains, and most importantly, the ability to bridge assets between EVM and non-EVM. It also offers a smooth experience for users, which is key for onboarding. We believe Symbiosis is essential for Rootstock and will help bring in more users and liquidity from other ecosystems.
Rationale: We’re supporting this proposal because it addresses a critical pain point for the DAO, ensuring that projects receiving grants remain committed to executing their plans, where funds are either released upon meeting a defined goal or are trustlessly made available for refund if the goal isn’t met. This makes grant funding more efficient and transparent. Given the team’s strong track record and product-market fit, we believe this will significantly enhance the smart contract capabilities of the Rootstock ecosystem, helping to solidify its role as the smart contract layer for Bitcoin and laying the foundation for future advanced tools like milestone-based payouts. With this, Rootstock will be better positioned to attract and support high-quality projects, accelerating its growth.
Rationale: We vote “Against.” We haven’t seen the project demonstrate a polished commitment to Rootstock yet. The re-evaluation update hasn’t provided a clear improvement, and while we acknowledge the reduction in the requested grant amount for Wave 1 as the community suggested, the updated plan still falls short of the clarity and detail required to instill confidence. The project only mentioned its use for “Testnet deployed” and “Logo/branding FE enhancements” for wave one, which is still too vague. Without well-defined milestones and measurable deliverables, it’s difficult to properly assess progress or validate the successful completion of objectives. This makes it challenging to justify the release of funding.
Rationale: We vote Against this proposal. While MENA region crypto adoption is indeed growing rapidly and Arabic speakers account for roughly 60% of the region’s population, it feels like expanding into this market falls squarely within the Foundation’s mission to build a global Rootstock community, rather than a separate grant initiative. Moreover, the requested $7,500 over three months lacks clarity on the tangible benefits Rootstock will receive. What milestones or KPIs will justify this spend, and what happens after the three‑month period? Would we need to continue funding at $2,500 per month just to maintain a basic presence? Without a clear measurable success criteria and post‑grant sustainability, it’s hard to justify treating MENA region expansion as a standalone funded project rather than Foundation’s ongoing growth initiatives.
Rationale: We are supporting Steer Protocol to join the Builders Collective Rewards because it already demonstrates proven impact. The experienced leadership team further strengthens its contribution, accelerating advanced and accessible DeFi capabilities on Rootstock. Its innovative product suite, notably Smart Pools which has generated over $2 million in fees, along with its extensive traction across 30+ networks and DEXs, makes it a vital asset for the ecosystem.
Rationale: We vote “Against” this proposal. Although the explanation on the technical side and timeline is pretty clear, we have doubts in terms of the marketing strategy. Currently, JXLabs has a low number of followers on Twitter and the project is requesting a $30,000 grant, with 50% allocated to marketing for broader adoption in the ecosystem, though we have concerns about the project’s current presence and reach. We recommend that the project outline a clearer strategy for building awareness and establishing a stronger presence. We do think this is an interesting project, but we have doubts regarding actual user adoption.
The proposal should be resubmitted under the correct category. We look forward to reconsidering it once that clarification is made.
Rationale: We vote against this proposal. While the goal of simplifying BTC onboarding aligns with Rootstock’s broader mission, the proposal lacks sufficient clarity regarding the product’s functionality, traction, and user adoption. It currently feels like the integration would primarily benefit the project’s own platform rather than provide clear, measurable value to the Rootstock ecosystem.
Rationale: We’re supportive of the Rootstock QuestHub grant proposal. The application is well-structured, clearly aligned with the grant framework, and reflects a strong commitment to the Rootstock ecosystem. The team’s active engagement on the forum, promptly addressing community feedback, has earned our trust.
We believe QuestHub plays a foundational role in onboarding both developers and crypto-curious newcomers into the Rootstock ecosystem. Its gamified, interactive approach to education, combined with on-chain credentialing and micro-rewards, offers an engaging alternative to traditional tutorials. This not only fosters ecosystem growth but also provides measurable impact in terms of user activation and developer engagement. Given the team’s proven track record, including past hackathon contributions, we’re confident in their ability to deliver.
Rationale: We’re supportive of this proposal after the team included a growth strategy, as we suggested in our previous rationale when we voted against it. We believe that with a clear objective around growth, this project has strong potential to become essential infrastructure for inheritance and wealth preservation. We hope to see real users benefiting from this in the ecosystem.
Hello Curia, thanks for your feedback on Aconcagua Finance proposal.
We didn’t highlight enough the functionality we were adding for the community.
Let me explain briefly to check if we are on the right track with your criteria.
Our goal with boveda.ai is to provide better custody solutions for individuals an institutions.
Boveda.ai vaults are safe (previous gnosis) vaults. Safe vaults are the best in the industry. We are already making use of their integration with rootstock (safe.rootstock.io)
Now this integration is very limited and there only four apps you can use with safe on rootstock
We want to add tropykus and a btc bridge (probably boltz) to these apps.
This will bring all the very important features of safe (multisig, modularity, time locks) to tropykus and other apps.
And this will be available for all the comunity under the apps menu on safe.rootstock.io
About traction and user adoption, we add measurable kpis to the proposal later, here they are.
Milestone 3 Initial traction
Get 0.1 BTC bridged from Bitcoin network to a vault
Get 2 vaults above 0.1 BTC on tropykus investment
Milestone 4 Traction
Get 10 BTC bridged from bitcoin network to vaults
Get 10 vaults above 0.1 BTC on tropykus investment
Rationale: We vote “Against” this proposal. While we believe it’s a good initiative overall, it closely mirrors previous efforts by Scroll to deploy local nodes as a way to increase brand awareness and attract builders. We think Rootstock should take this further by establishing a clear framework for deploying local nodes in high-adoption regions as part of a long-term strategy, not just as one-off activities grants. We support the Online Training: Bitcoin DeFi with Rootstock component, as education is essential for onboarding new users. However, we do not agree with allocating $5,000 for event sponsorship purely for visibility, especially when such sponsorships often lack clear success metrics. Instead, we believe the proposal would be stronger with clearly defined KPIs for the training component, such as tracking completions, measuring how many users go on to use protocols like Money on Chain or Tropykus, and identifying how many developers who attend workshops continue building within the Rootstock ecosystem.
Rationale: We vote “For” this proposal, as it complies with the geographic compliance restrictions outlined in the General Guidelines for Rewards Applications.
First, it’s important to clarify that the node-related component was not included in this grant proposal. The reason is simple: even within Rootstock Labs —currently the main organization supporting Rootstock— we haven’t been able to find people available to help lead an initial training for future node installers and trainers.
So far, most Rootstock nodes have been deployed by highly technical individuals following online guides. However, the process is far from simple, and the Bitcoin Argentina NGO —which focuses primarily on Bitcoin education— currently lacks members with the technical expertise to replicate that process. The goal of a future initiative is to develop those technical profiles, so they can eventually deploy and teach Rootstock node installation in Argentina, one of the most engaged countries in the Bitcoin ecosystem (after all, Rootstock itself was co-founded by Argentinians).
This is a topic that will likely be addressed in a more specific proposal later on.
Regarding the rejection of the Descentralizar event sponsorship, we believe it’s a mistake to reduce it to mere brand awareness. The sponsorship is not just about visibility —it’s about providing institutional and community support to one of the most important Bitcoin educational events in the region. For years, it has featured a highly rated DeFi workshop.
In this edition, the workshop will be explicitly focused on Rootstock and its protocols (such as Money On Chain, Tropykus, and Oku), and will include an invitation to a follow-up online seminar open to the entire Spanish-speaking Bitcoin community.
We believe this proposal is strongly aligned with the Collective’s mission —which acts as a kind of “social layer” for Rootstock— and represents a valuable opportunity to strengthen relationships and support grassroots educational efforts that drive Bitcoin-based decentralized adoption.
Rationale: Overall, we like the idea of hosting a hackathon focused specifically on the development of Solidity projects. However, this proposal currently does not follow the grant guidelines. While you have provided a budget breakdown, we would like to see the specific amount of grant funding being requested more clearly stated. We would also appreciate performance results from the previous event. Therefore, we are abstaining from the vote this time and recommend that you revise the proposal to better align with the grant guidelines.
Rationale: We vote “Against” this proposal because it has been resubmitted for an onchain vote without any revisions to address the concerns raised in the previous submission, particularly regarding the lack of a clear and detailed budget breakdown. Although we support the goal of hosting the Rootstock Hackathon and recognize its potential benefits for the ecosystem, the current proposal shows no improvement over the previous one.
Rationale: We vote “For” Milestone 2 of BALT because the team has successfully completed Milestone 1, including thorough beta testing improvements and a full third-party smart contract audit with all security recommendations applied. With contracts validated and ready for mainnet deployment, this next step, the mainnet launch and user onboarding, is essential to bring this secure Bitcoin inheritance solution to users. The milestone also includes important wallet integrations and educational outreach to help grow the community.
Rationale: We vote for this proposal because Alphaday is a proven platform with a solid track record for delivering useful data aggregation tools. Adding Rootstock to Alphaday’s dashboard alongside other major chains will boost its visibility and make it easier for users to access Rootstock data. We see this grant as an efficient way to grow Rootstock’s presence.
Rationale: We vote against this proposal because it appears to have been submitted in the wrong category. While the onchain vote shows a funding request of $20,000, this amount is not clearly included or justified in the proposal itself. It should be submitted under the appropriate grant proposal category.
Rationale: We support this revised proposal as it clearly outlines the value it brings to the Rootstock ecosystem and the inclusion of a detailed go-to-market strategy demonstrates a practical approach to driving adoption and growth. With phased milestones, measurable KPIs, and early marketing efforts, this grant represents a strategic investment to expand Rootstock’s institutional use cases and DeFi capabilities.
Rationale: We support Tally to join Builder, as it strengthens onchain governance processes, demonstrates proven reliability, has broad adoption across DAOs and contributes ongoing value to the Rootstock ecosystem by providing essential governance infrastructure.
Rationale: We support Beexo joining collective builder because it makes self-custody more approachable for users. The wallet simplifies using digital assets by giving users control while still offering familiar features like buying, sending, and receiving crypto. This makes it easier for more people to confidently use Rootstock and engage with its ecosystem.
Rationale: We support this proposal because it brings trustless All-or-Nothing crowdfunding to Rootstock, ensuring funds are only released when goals are met or automatically refunded if not. With the team’s expertise in Bitcoin smart contracts and Lightning, they are well-positioned to deliver a modular, open-source solution. This project strengthens Rootstock’s ecosystem and showcases Bitcoin’s programmable potential in funding use cases.
Rationale: After a thorough review of the proposal and the team’s reply, we have decided to vote “Against.” Our primary concern is the overlap this project presents with the existing responsibilities of Rootstock Collective and our delegate structure. There is no clear evidence that this proposal would deliver materially greater or distinct value compared to current efforts. The plan to find two projects to deliver $500K TVL remains vague and inadequately justified relative to the requested grant amount. Given this, the proposal fails to demonstrate sufficient value to justify the requested funding.
Rationale: We vote “For” Winks.fun because it introduces an innovative way to simplify user onboarding to Rootstock by enabling direct onchain interaction within Twitter. The project’s customers are protocols and projects seeking customization, while developers can experiment freely through the open-source SDK. This freemium B2B model supports sustainable growth by giving developers free access, generating revenue from protocol-level services, and enabling seamless engagement for end-users. This approach benefits both users and developers and helps strengthen ecosystem visibility and activity by keeping interactions within Twitter, expanding Rootstock’s community reach.
Rationale: We’re voting Against because the funding request outlined on the forum for Milestone 1 does not match the onchain proposal. We suggest resubmitting the proposal with aligned details for review.
Rationale: We support this initiative as it contributes to Rootstock’s mission of expanding Bitcoin utility and raising awareness of the ecosystem across three countries. By offering workshops and demos, the plan provides a practical way to engage new audiences and encourage adoption, with a budget that appears reasonable for the expected impact. Overall, this project presents a well-structured opportunity to broaden Rootstock’s presence.
