2. Intro

I’m Ignas, a solo researcher with the main focus on DeFi. My mission is to provide clear, in-depth insights helping my audiences stay up-to-date with the latest trends while actively supporting DAO development.

I believe in the decentralized future and it means actively participating in RootStock Collective DAO in every way I can - whether it’s by serving as a delegate, joining working groups, discussing any proposals or seizing new opportunities that come up. I’ll also be sharing key DAO decisions on X and my blog.

3. Delegate Communication Intent

I’m committed to keeping the RootStock Collective community informed with regular, transparent updates. I’ll provide clear insights into my voting choices and reasoning to ensure everyone understands the direction we’re headed and why.

4. Why I Want to be a Delegate

Currently, DeFi DAOs face several internal issues, such as voter apathy leading to governance attacks, insider voting, and voting concentration among a few active voting addresses. Additionally, they face external challenges like regulatory uncertainty.

I believe in a decentralized future, even if it seems naive. However, the current state of crypto is plagued by misaligned incentives that prioritize short term speculative gains over the core DeFi values of self-sovereignty and custody.

Equally concerning is the trend of McKinsification in DAOs, where decisions are increasingly made by one or two professional consultant delegates. This discourages individual participation, as their opinions and votes have less impact.

To make DeFi DAOs viable, we must align incentives to encourage active participation in governance from the broader crypto community. I believe that community must be at the core of every DAO. Without giving the community a say in protocol governance, we’re no better than the Web2 companies we aim to replace - companies that view their “community” merely as users to extract value from.

I will support initiatives that align token holders with the protocol, such as revenue sharing or other methods to bring value to the token. Token holders are frustrated with exploitative tokenomics that only benefit early insiders who acquired tokens at much lower prices, leaving no upside for new investors. Without incentives to buy and hold tokens, the attractiveness and health of DAOs decline.

As mentioned, I will highlight key votes and decisions of the DAO on X and my blog, as I believe the general public is often unaware of important actions being taken.

5. Disclosure

I am the co-founder of Pink Brains, an organization dedicated to promoting various crypto projects through educational content. You can find more info about us here: pinkbrains | Twitter | Linktree

I’m a delegate for Lido, Aave, Uniswap, Instadapp, Arbitrum, Velora… I plan to apply as a delegate to other DAOs soon, with the same mission of strengthening them and aligning token holders with the protocol.

I always make appropriate disclosures and recuse myself from voting when necessary.

11. Proposal: Beexo Wallet: The Mobile Hybrid Standard for Rootstock (Tally)

  • Date Voted: November 13, 2025

Beexo Wallet simplifies self custody and makes Rootstock adoption accessible to everyday users. Its hybrid design combines DeFi freedom with CeFi convenience, enabling fast, low-fee multi chain transactions, and deep dApp access.

12. Proposal: [2508 Grant Milestone 2] Winks.fun: On-chain actions on Rootstock within Twitter (Tally)

  • Date Voted: November 19, 2025

  • Vote: For

  • Rationale: Follow the full proposal in the forum. I voted yes!

This milestone is well scoped, technically sound, continues the structured progress already validated in milestone 1.

Milestone 2 brings the first fully working Wink to life, including staking integration, a callback based interaction layer, social sharing flows, and a functional token transfer Wink that works directly on Twitter.

The $9,000 ask is reasonable given the scope, engineering effort, and the added documentation/API work.

Date Voted: December 2, 2025

13. Proposal: BUILDING ROOTSTOCK COMMUNITY OF DEVELOPERS AND USERS IN GHANA (Tally)

  • Vote: For

  • Rationale: This proposal creates a real opportunity for Rootstock to grow in Ghana by increasing the number of developers building on the platform and bringing meaningful on chain activity with new users.

The team has provided clear milestones, a detailed budget breakdown. I also expect thorough reporting for each milestone to track progress and results, which gives confidence that the program will deliver real value.

    Voted yes!

14. Proposal: [2510 Grant] Timelock and Multisig Governance tool for Rootstock (Tally)

  • Vote: For

  • Rationale: I’m voting Yes for Milestone 2 because the Timelock UI development is a critical step toward improving Rootstock governance safety.

Date Voted: December 4, 2025

15. Proposal: [2508 Grant Milestone 2] Winks.fun: On-chain actions on Rootstock within Twitter (Tally)

  • Vote: For

  • Rationale: Thanks for the updated proposal. I remain my Yes on this.

This milestone is well scoped, technically sound, continues the structured progress already validated in milestone 1.

Milestone 2 brings the first fully working Wink to life, including staking integration, a callback based interaction layer, social sharing flows, and a functional token transfer Wink that works directly on Twitter.

16. Proposal: [Grant 2512] Recognized Delegate Compensation - November 2025 (Tally)

  • Vote: For

  • Rationale: Voting For to authorize the monthly delegate compensation. The calculations are transparent and the payouts reflect work already completed.

Glad to be included in the list!

Date Voted: December 10, 2025

17. Proposal: [0907 Grant Proposal] Rootstock QuestHub - M4;Second proposal (Tally)

  • Vote: For

  • Rationale: I acknowledge the concerns raised by another delegate regarding untranslated sections and minor UX/UI inconsistencies. These are valid points, and ensuring a smooth user experience is important , especially ahead of launching the platform to real users.

That said, I believe these remaining issues are not blockers.

The team has already addressed the major bugs from earlier milestones, and the outstanding items are relatively small and can be fixed quickly without slowing down the overall launch timeline.

I am voting Yes, with the clear expectation that the team will:

  • Complete all outstanding translation and UX fixes before the on chain vote ends, and

  • Increase QA efforts going forward, instead of relying on delegates to manually identify small issues.

18. Proposal: Introduce the USD Vault (Sandbox Mode) on the RootstockCollective dApp (Tally)

  • Vote: For

  • Rationale: Voting yes.

This sandbox is a safe and practical way to test an ERC 4626 vault on mainnet and see how USDRIF can plug into different yield products in the Rootstock ecosystem.

The deposit caps and clear test limits make the experiment low risk while still giving us useful data on user flows, share pricing, and how yields behave in real conditions.

I think this setup will give the ecosystem valuable insights before moving to larger products. Check my comment: Proposal: Introduce the USD Vault (Sandbox Mode) on the RootstockCollective dApp - #10 by Ignas

19. Proposal: [2508 Grant] M2 Infrastructure Ventures Path to Ecosystem Growth (Tally)

  • Date Voted: December 24, 2025

  • Vote: For

  • Rationale: Given the strong execution in Milestone 1, the team’s continued engagement with governance, and the importance of this filtering stage to protect DAO capital.

Approving Milestone 2 is a reasonable and well justified next step.

    I voted yes.

20. Proposal: [Grant 2601] Recognized Delegate Compensation (Tally)

  • Date Voted: January 6, 2026

  • Vote: For

  • Rationale: Thank you for the recognition and continued support.

Appreciate the transparency around the delegate compensation and happy to keep contributing actively to governance, voting, and Rootstock’s decentralization journey.

21. Proposal: [2507 Grant Proposal] Rootstock QuestHub - Milestone 4 (Onchain)

  • Date Voted: January 14, 2026

  • Vote: For

  • Rationale: The team has addressed the previously reported translation and UX/UI issues, demonstrating responsiveness to delegate feedback and strong execution discipline.
With the major blockers resolved, Milestone 4 is ready to move forward.

I am voting For to approve Milestone 4 funding.

22. Proposal: [2512 Grant 1] RootStock Global Wallet by Blockscout (Tally)

  • Date Voted: January 20, 2026

  • Vote: For

  • Rationale: I’m voting Yes.

This proposal improves Rootstock’s onboarding by reducing friction for no technical and Web2 users and leveraging Blockscout’s proven infrastructure and long standing presence in the ecosystem.

While the wallet’s primary user base may not fully overlap with Rootstock’s current power users, I appreciate the team’s efforts to address this through a reduced grant size as well as a well defined pilot structure.

Look forward to seeing the results of this pilot and the data it produces.

23. Proposal: [2601 Grant] SwaptoX Aggregator – Milestone 1 (Tally)

  • Date Voted: January 23, 2026

  • Vote: Against

  • Rationale: I am voting No this proposal. The primary concern is KYC was not completed before the proposal went live for an onchain vote, which is a hard requirement for grant funded initiatives and a basic governance standard.

Beyond that, the project is currently maintained by a solo developer, raising valid concerns around long term sustainability, maintenance continuity, and operational resilience.

I would be open to reconsidering once KYC is fully completed and there is clearer visibility on long term commitment and Rootstock specific prioritization

24. Proposal: [2510] Grant Proposal - Self Sovereign Identity (SSI) sandbox rootstock integration - Milestone 2 (Tally)

  • Date Voted: January 27, 2026

  • Vote: Against

  • Rationale: The requested amount ($12,500) does not align with the previously shared revised plan, under which Milestone 2 was scoped and approved at $11,500.

    Voted against!

25. Proposal: [2508 Grant Proposal] All-or-Nothing Crowdfunding with Rootstock - Milestone 3 (Tally)

  • Date Voted: January 30, 2026

  • Vote: For

  • Rationale: I am voting yes for M3

Milestones 1 and 2 have been fully delivered, with a production ready AON contract now live on mainnet.

Moreover, the proposed adjustment to M3, allocating an additional $2,000 to selectively support live AON campaigns close to completion is reasonable and wellaligned with the goal of driving adoption. Early, visible success cases are critical for demonstrating the viability of All-or-Nothing crowdfunding on Bitcoin and for strengthening future promotion and onboarding of new creators and platforms.

Date Voted: February 3, 2026

26. Proposal: [2601 Grant] Loan interest return to boost bitcoin-backed circular economies - Milestone 1 (Tally)

  • Vote: Against

  • Rationale: I am voting No since I do not see a clear long term impact for Rootstock.

The model appears viable only at small scale, and interest subsidies weaken key lending risk signals, making adoption hard to sustain once support ends.

27. Proposal: [Grant 2602] Recognized Delegate Compensation - January 2026 (Tally)

  • Vote: For
  • Rationale: Looking forward to continuing active governance participation and contributing to Rootstock’s long term decentralization!
