We’ve now responded to the main concerns raised around budget granularity, on-chain activation criteria, duplicate-wallet prevention, Ambassador alignment, milestone-based funding, reporting, and 30–60 day retention tracking.
We plan to incorporate these changes into the updated v2 proposal before publishing it.
If you have any additional feedback, suggestions, or points you believe should be addressed, we’d really appreciate receiving them now so we can include them in the revision and make v2 as clear, measurable, and aligned with the Collective’s expectations as possible.

Hey, just to add my view here. First of all, I have a positive view of Meta Pool and the team’s track record, and I think the proposal has improved a lot through the discussion.
That said, the current Grant Guidelines explicitly list events as a Hard Exclusion. Even if this program adds on-chain activation, retention tracking and milestone-based funding, the core execution is still based on a series of in-person events.
So, trying to stay consistent with the current framework, I would have difficulty supporting it through the Grants Program as it stands today. This is more about following the existing guidelines than about the quality of Meta Pool or the idea itself.

We fully understand the importance of respecting the current Grant Guidelines, and our intention is not to bypass the framework.
What we want to emphasize is that Build Buddies is not structured simply as a series of standalone in-person events. Based on the feedback received, we’ve designed a more collaborative activation model where each event follows an On-Chain Activation Playbook, measurable on-chain actions, milestone-based reporting, and 30–60 day retention tracking.
Most importantly, the proposal now includes direct coordination with the Rootstock Ambassador Program. Event content, materials, messaging, and activation activities would be reviewed and aligned with the Ambassador/Rootstock team before execution.
The in-person event is therefore one part of a broader journey:
Rootstock/Ambassador Alignment → Local Activation → On-Chain Participation → Verification & Reporting → 30–60 Day Retention
We respect the concerns around the current framework, while also hoping the DAO considers the additional value of this collaborative and measurable approach beyond the event itself.
