Proposal: Geyser All-or-Nothing Crowdfunding powered by Rootstock
Vote: For
Rationale: We’re supporting this proposal because it addresses a critical pain point for the DAO, ensuring that projects receiving grants remain committed to executing their plans, where funds are either released upon meeting a defined goal or are trustlessly made available for refund if the goal isn’t met. This makes grant funding more efficient and transparent. Given the team’s strong track record and product-market fit, we believe this will significantly enhance the smart contract capabilities of the Rootstock ecosystem, helping to solidify its role as the smart contract layer for Bitcoin and laying the foundation for future advanced tools like milestone-based payouts. With this, Rootstock will be better positioned to attract and support high-quality projects, accelerating its growth.
Proposal: [25.06] Grant application - roketto [Wave 1 - Re-evaluated]
Vote: Against
Rationale: We vote “Against.” We haven’t seen the project demonstrate a polished commitment to Rootstock yet. The re-evaluation update hasn’t provided a clear improvement, and while we acknowledge the reduction in the requested grant amount for Wave 1 as the community suggested, the updated plan still falls short of the clarity and detail required to instill confidence. The project only mentioned its use for “Testnet deployed” and “Logo/branding FE enhancements” for wave one, which is still too vague. Without well-defined milestones and measurable deliverables, it’s difficult to properly assess progress or validate the successful completion of objectives. This makes it challenging to justify the release of funding.
