RC V7.0 Release Note

Summary

TL;DR: The Rootstock Collective Foundation is pleased to announce V7.0, which introduces OnRamping via Meld.io, a Rootling Badge, new visual tools in Collective Rewards, an ABI Estimator, and scalability enhancements.

Building on the success of V6.1 which improved Grant flows and usability, this new major release expands functionality with fiat-to-RIF OnRamping inside the dApp, supports the Rootling Series 1 campaign, and adds new features such as the Collective Rewards graph and dynamic ABI Estimator. In addition, the platform is now more resilient with scalability upgrades, including broadened rollout and enhancements to the existing caching layer.

Community Benefits

  • You can now purchase RIF with FIAT directly inside the dApp through a seamless integration with Meld.io thanks to the ReOwn Appkit. You no longer need to leave the platform, which reduces friction in the UX and lowers the barriers to entry for new Users in the Rootstock community…click “On Ramp” to try it now!

  • A new Rootling NFT Series 1 Community Badge is now available, with whitelisting mechanisms in place to ensure smooth participation. This provides users with an engaging way to interact with the community by contributing to a verified campaign or event while reinforcing the campaign’s exclusivity. If you qualify, grab one while you can…

  • Clearer and more intuitive view of rewards activity is now here! A new graph visualisation has been added to the Collective Rewards page, making it easier to understand rewards over time. This enhancement helps Backers and Builders understand trends and optimise their strategies.

  • Clearer expectations when backing and making your allocations is now possible. The rewards estimation system has been upgraded to dynamically adjust based on user input, providing a more accurate and personalised view of potential rewards, and to reduce uncertainty…

  • Scalability Enhancements: we have increased the scope of the state sync caching layer, designed to reduce load on RSKj nodes, to also cover Proposals along with monitoring capabilities to detect potential delays. Together, these improvements increase system robustness, reduce the risk of bottlenecks, and improve the reliability of the platform at scale.
