RC V8.1 Release Note
Summary
TL;DR: The Rootstock Collective Foundation is pleased to announce V8.1 which delivers the new prototype screen to help support RootstockLabs USD Vault Sandbox proposal. This will be provided in the dApp In a new Beta Tools area. The Sandbox will run on mainnet, using ERC-4626 Vault mechanics and users can deposit up to 100 USDRIF, earn test yield, and learn more about Vaults. We also continue our transparency and usability themes by adding another TX reporting screen for Staking and UnStaking with more usability enhancements - see details below.
Building on V8.0 which introduced the new Mobile User Experience and transparency improvements, this release takes the next big leap towards testing USD Vault mechanics.

Community Benefits
- Prototype testers will be able to deposit USDRIF to earn test yield through predefined on-chain rules, explore how vault shares appreciate over time, and do so safely within Sandbox test limits. The Sandbox will allow small test deposits of up to 100 USD to clearly demonstrate sandbox business flows…
…by supporting this proposal, the Collective plays a role to help accelerate the efforts of RootstockLabs providing early access with clarity and control, better ecosystem readiness, improved understanding of stable-value yield mechanics, and a collaborative pathway between RootstockLabs, developers, builders and the community.
- Increasing transparency builds trust and so we have now added a Transaction Reporting screen so you can see a history of all your Staking and UnStaking transactions…
- We also enhanced the existing Claims and Rewards Transaction History so you can now export all data externally as a CSV file, and see the Grand Total …
- Interoperability between Tally and the Collective is important for a healthy ecosystem and so we have added support for Multi-Action proposal viewing - if for example a proposal is created in Tally front end …
A number of smaller fixes and enhancements have been added to refine the mobile UX. We will continue to refine the Mobile UX over time and full mobile functionality for the remaining desktop screens will be completed in the upcoming releases.
