[0907 Grant Proposal] Rootstock QuestHub – M1
Vote: For
Rationale:
QuestHub is a well-structured proposal with a milestone-based approach, an experienced team, and a clear goal: converting curious users into active participants through gamified onboarding and missions.

It aligns well with Rootstock Collective’s priorities and complements initiatives like Hacktivator and the upcoming Builders Club. The team has been consistently responsive and open to feedback.

I support funding this first milestone and look forward to seeing how it performs once live.

Hello Kaf, thank you for your feedback. I sent many updates to the grant based on your feedback.

BΔLT – Decentralized Bitcoin Inheritance & Custody dApp
Vote: For
Rationale:
I support BΔLT because it tackles a real and urgent problem in the Bitcoin ecosystem: inheritance and long-term custody. The team at JXLabs has already built a working testnet version, published open-source contracts, and structured their grant with clear, milestone-based payouts.

They’re aligned with Rootstock’s mission of decentralization and sovereignty, and this proposal shows solid technical grounding and ecosystem fit. While usage metrics and audit are still ahead, what’s live today is functional and thoughtful. I believe this grant helps bring meaningful new utility to Bitcoin on Rootstock.

ONG Bitcoin Argentina – Rootstock Education & Infrastructure Program
Vote: For
Rationale:
This is a well-scoped, milestone-based education and outreach proposal from one of Latin America’s most established Bitcoin NGOs. The team has a proven track record organizing major events like Descentralizar and running high-quality online programs, and they’re deeply embedded in the Rootstock ecosystem through Money On Chain and broader Bitcoin education work.

The ask is modest, the milestones are clear and time-bound, and the potential grassroots impact is meaningful, especially across underserved regions. I support funding this proposal and see it as a strong example of community-led adoption aligned with Rootstock’s mission.

Builder Deactivation Proposal – Beexo Protocol
Vote: For
Rationale:
Beexo is based in the U.S., which contravenes the Collective’s geographic eligibility rules. Enforcing this restriction upholds legal compliance and ensures equal application of program terms.

Hi team.
thanks for the feedback on our proposal, we are following up with our improvements.
We added some of this later in our proposal, probably not in time.

About previous grant, here the offchain discussion. We provided documentation (like the smart contract audit reports) and onchain data for all our deliverables to the team that worked with us after obtaining the grant.

  • For our milestones, we diminished the estimated cost, there is some risk in doing this but we are willing to take it.
  • Milestone 1 - Deliverable - testnet launch (12 weeks - USD 9.000)
  • Milestone 2 - Deliverable - mainnet launch (4 weeks - USD 4.000)
  • Milestone 3 Initial traction (4 weeks - USD 2.000)
    • Get 0.1 BTC bridged from Bitcoin network to a vault
    • Get 2 vaults above 0.1 BTC on tropykus investment
  • Milestone 4 Traction (TBD but estimated 8 weeks - USD 2.000)
    • Get 10 BTC bridged from bitcoin network to vaults
    • Get 10 vaults above 0.1 BTC on tropykus investment

Let us know your thoughts.

Thanks
Manuel

Here our revised proposal, take a look, any feedback is appreciated!

Rootstock Hackathon
Vote: Against
Rationale:
I support the goal of growing the Rootstock developer ecosystem, and I appreciate the initiative to organize a Solidity-focused hackathon. However, the proposal lacks clarity on key aspects: the on-chain amount (1,200 RIF) doesn’t match the stated prize value (€5,000), the broader event budget (~€16,500) isn’t backed by confirmed co-funding, and there are no clear milestones or post-event deliverables. I’m voting against in its current form, and would welcome a revised version with clearer alignment to the grant framework.

Rootstock Hackathon
Vote: Against
Rationale:
I appreciate the progress made in this proposal — with a confirmed date, clearer prize breakdown, and a more defined role for Rootstock during the event. I also want to recognize Nicole’s ongoing contributions to the Rootstock community and the strong support this initiative has received from members.

That said, I still see important gaps that make it difficult to support funding at this stage: confirmation of co-sponsors and the venue, concrete milestones to track progress, and a clear post-event plan to extend impact beyond the hackathon itself (social media coverage, recap videos, winner interviews, and reusable content). Without these, it’s harder to ensure the investment will deliver sustained value for the ecosystem.

This initiative has potential and could serve as a pilot to inform a more complete, coordinated, and measurable long-term events strategy for Rootstock. However, I believe it should return with these gaps addressed to maximize its chances of success, which is why I’m voting against in its current form.

[0708 Grant Proposal] Bitcoin Inheritance & Custody dApp – JXLabs | BΔLT – M2
Vote: For
Rationale: JXLabs has demonstrated strong execution and transparency by delivering all M1 commitments, including a full third-party audit, resolution of all identified issues, and public release of the codebase and documentation. The scope of M2 is consistent with the approved roadmap, focusing on mainnet deployment, wallet/browser integrations, and production of educational and promotional content to onboard initial users. Advancing to this stage will allow the project to demonstrate real-world adoption and provide measurable insights for the following growth milestone.

[2503 Collective Rewards] Tally
Vote: Against
Rationale: The request was submitted under the Collective Rewards category instead of the correct Builder Activation category for grants. This misclassification makes the proposal ineligible under current framework requirements.

Alphaday – RSK Data Aggregator Dashboard
Vote: For

Rationale:
I supported this proposal because Alphaday already has a live product with solid traction (15k MAU, 55% retention) and a proven track record integrating with ecosystems like AAVE and Avalanche. The RSK dashboard will boost ecosystem visibility and lower onboarding friction for new users. Given the small budget (~$4K) and low technical risk, this feels like a strategic, high-leverage bet to improve awareness and position Rootstock alongside other major chains.

[2507 Grant] BTCFi for Institutions: Multisig Custody with DeFi Access on Rootstock – Milestone 1

Vote: For

Rationale:
This proposal targets a clear infrastructure gap by enabling institutional-grade access to BTCFi via Safe Apps integrated with Tropykus, Sovryn, and others. The technical architecture is sound, and the team has made steady progress across staging, outreach, and demo environments.

That said, the team is small, and scalability remains a concern as adoption efforts expand. Continued milestone-based funding makes sense here. I will support Milestone 1 and follow delivery and traction closely before backing later phases.

[2503 Collective Rewards] Tally – Builder Activation

Vote: For

Rationale: Tally is the leading onchain governance platform, already powering Rootstock Collective’s governance since 2024. Its proven track record, secure infrastructure, and strong adoption across the DAO ecosystem make it a valuable addition as a Builder.
