Building rootstock Community of Users and Developers in Ghana( Revised)

GH COMMUNITY BUILDING DAO aims to establish a thriving, long-lasting Ghanaian community of developers, business owners, and Rootstock (RSK) users. Through education, hands-on training, and real-world projects, the initiative will connect Rootstock’s Bitcoin-secured smart contract technology to practical Web3 adoption across West Africa.

Ghana ranks among the top 10 African countries for crypto adoption (Chainalysis 2023). With its youthful, tech-driven population and growing blockchain interest, this project aims to position Rootstock as a key player in Ghana’s Web3 ecosystem — driving innovation, inclusion, and local utility.

Hey @Oluman, I deffinitely echo @DAOstar_gov’s comment to try to centralize everything in a single common thread otherwise things get lost. This project has 3 threads already.
I myself was now searching for the original thread we had the discussions Nov last year.

Thus, I’m replying to your report on the two meetups here in this thread, to try to centralize everything here moving forward.

Now that’s said, credit where credit is due:
Congratulations on the two in-real-life events!!
It takes courage to get out there, invite people, organize a room, and present, not knowing if there will be attendance.
The event is looking tidy, with the banner and RootstockGH t-shirts. I think this is how you start from zero and try to get momentum.

I’d like to reiterate the feedback I gave back then:

You’ll have to work hard on every milestone since the first, otherwise you’ll fall short on the deliverables for M2 and M3.
Make sure you get a good onboarding at this time. It may be wise to spend a bit more time on initial onboarding, hosting one or two more meetups, so you can generate the momentum that will get you going M2 onward.

@ChronoTrigger Here’s a brief, professional response you can use:

Thank you for the thoughtful feedback and encouragement. I truly appreciate your recognition of our efforts with the meetups.

I fully agree on the importance of centralizing discussions — we’ll ensure all updates and reports moving forward are aligned within this thread.

Your point on KPIs and milestone discipline is well noted. We are prioritizing strong onboarding and community engagement at this stage, and we’re already planning additional sessions to deepen participation and build the momentum needed for M2 and M3.

Thank you again for the guidance and support.

Thank you all for the thoughtful feedback and encouragement — We are sincerely appreciative.

For transparency on participation, the two meetups were officially published via Luma:

Event links:
https://luma.com/he8a8as90
https://luma.com/lsoerysb

We recorded 60+ participant registrations across both events. In addition, some attendees registered physically at the venue, contributing to total attendance.

At this stage, rather than adding more general engagements, our focus is on preparing Milestone 2 activities. The next phase will emphasize practical, hands-on sessions — including a structured bootcamp format — to translate the initial awareness and onboarding into tangible builder participation.

Thank you again for the guidance and continued support.

Thank you so much, @Oluman for your continued work to refine and produce a great project. I also echo @ChronoTrigger recommendations regarding ensuring that you focus on executing sucessfully on each milestone, as they build upon the next. Thank you also to @ChronoTrigger for providing the link in your comments about understanding the KPI’s for each milestone, as discussed in November, as it helps us to understand the completion of each milestone.

As already noted, we suggest (as there are three prior versions of this proposal) is to ensure that for each milestone report, you repost the milestone and KPI for that milestone, from your previous posts, so it’s easier for delegates to understand clearly what you are submitting.
