Description: We are a club where members get paid DOC to repost messages on X, which amplifies advertiser’s messages to a genuine crowd.
Mission: We want social media users of all sizes to know their value as trend creators. We want everyone to recognize that an audience belongs to users to monetize, and not only to social media platforms to hijack. If we fail, at least we want to push these items into public discourse.
Product: Advertisers provide a link to an X post and pay a DOC amount to our smart contract, creating a campaign with a specific budget. X users sign up to asami and verify their X account, which gets appraised by their audience size, and whenever they repost the advertiser’s post, they get paid DOC for collaborating on the campaign. For each collaboration, Asami captures 10% of the DOC as fee, and also issues ASAMI tokens to all parties involved. All fees are accumulated in a pool which is then distributed among token holders every 15 days.
Users can join the club even before creating a wallet. Asami can help them get set up with a wallet, and fund it with RBTC to pay for fees, once they have collected enough rewards,
Team: Im the project’s only permanent/full-time member and administrator. Club members have stepped up at different times to build technology and grow the community. I’m a bitcoiner, technologist, and had a few successful projects in the bitcoin space. This is my first incursion into social media and advertisement.
Progress: Over 100 members have collaborated on at least one campaign. The club’s total direct reach is over 450K X users. The club has made over 1190 collaboration payments for over 2000 DOC since its first launch on mainnet 10 months ago.
Roadmap: We are focused on growth, getting more members to understand the platform (and the token), we want them to collaborate and create campaigns. We also want to improve the tools for members taking the advertiser role, and the way we measure reach and appraise audiences.
Conclusion: If awarded this grant we are going to use it to fund campaigns where members will get paid to advertise interesting initiatives. At least half of the budget will go to advertise RSK ecosystem projects exclusively. This will keep our current members active, will call for new members to join, and will give free publicity to RSK ecosystem projects, including RootstockCollective.
