The regional evaluation idea from Scroll fits really well with where Rootstock seems to be heading.
This Ambassador Program already feels like the first step toward a broader “local node” model. It’s approved, has region-specific roles (LATAM and Europe), KPIs, and a clear reporting structure. Solid groundwork all around.
At the same time, other grassroots proposals are popping up that could complement this:
- ONG Bitcoin Argentina is prepped to launch on-chain, with a strong team and deep roots across Ibero-America
- Rootstock Arabia didn’t pass, but the concept is there, showing interest from underrepresented regions like MENA
- The Barcelona Hackathon sounds like a great activation and could be a strong match with QuestHub’s gamified learning. It also includes a focus on learning about Collective governance, which could help more people get involved
Would be awesome to see where this could go next. Africa and Southeast Asia have real grassroots momentum in Web3.
Personally, I love seeing what’s happening in the Ethereum ecosystem. I’ve counted over 40 active Ethereum local communities (Lisbon, Bogotá, Milan, etc.). Local energy, global alignment. Would love to see Rootstock build something similar, and I think the first Collective Ambassadors can play a big role in making that happen.
