RootstockArabia: Awareness, Education & Ecosystem Growth Initiative

Project Summary:

Rootstock Arabia is a grassroots initiative designed to introduce, localize, and grow the Rootstock ecosystem in the MENA region (Arabic-speaking countries).

Project Name:

Rootstock Arabia: Awareness, Education & Ecosystem Growth Initiative

Submission Date:

2025-06-10

Currently, Rootstock has no meaningful presence the MENA region, there is no local Arab community, no Arabic content, and no educational efforts targeting this market. Yet, the region represents a high-potential and underserved audience:

  • Over 420 million Arabic speakers
  • Rapidly growing crypto adoption, especially among youth
  • Strong Bitcoin affinity in countries with inflationary currencies
  • Countries like the UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, and Saudi Arabia are leading regulatory innovation, and driving rapid crypto sector growth

Rootstock Arabia aims to close this gap through strategic community building, localized content, and continuous education campaigns, making Rootstock accessible and relevant to Arabic-speaking users and developers.

Conclusion:

RootstockArabia bridges a critical gap by making Rootstock accessible to the Arabic-speaking world. With strategic content, community, infrastructure efforts, this initiative will deliver sustainable and measurable impact for Rootstock’s global adoption.

Thanks for sharing this, great to see Rootstock starting to reach new regions like MENA, which has a lot of potential and hasn’t been explored much yet.

The Cryptoblarabi team clearly has experience in other ecosystems (NEAR, Optimism, etc.), but this still feels like an early-stage proposal in terms of actual contributions to Rootstock. To better understand its potential, it’d be helpful to see:

  • Clear OKRs; what are the main goals, and how will success be measured?
  • Coordination with Labs to make sure efforts are aligned and not duplicated.

As more regional proposals like this come in, it might be worth setting some basic expectations around goals, reporting, and delivery, just to help everyone build from a stronger foundation.

Thank you for your support and for your questions.

Our goal is to build an active Arab Rootstock community and bring users and developers to participate in the Rootstock ecosystem.

We’ve outlined the following OKRs to track the success for the first 3 months:

  • Launch and maintain Arabic-language Telegram and X channels
  • Reach 300 - 500 members on X and Telegram by August
  • Maintain a weekly posting cadence and daily moderation and host the events.
  • Measure engagement rates on content (views, shares, comments

We agree with the idea of setting a consistent baseline across regional proposals. For our part, we commit to:

  • Monthly progress reports in the forum for more transparency (including KPIs, content links, screenshots, and community analytics)
  • End-of-quarter impact summary

Thank you.
