1. Project Name & Description
ROOTSTOCK ReFI:
Fund the NetX State platform MVP on Rootstock and support the first two local node activations representing Rootstock.
NetX State is a social network connecting regenerative communities, startups, and VCs through decentralized technology and Web3 governance. Each local node activates circular economies in its bioregion, backed by assets, participation, and regenerative impact — improving environmental, economic, and social outcomes. These activations also showcase Bitcoin and Rootstock as foundations for open, inclusive, and sustainable local economies.
This proposal seeks funding to launch the first version of the Regenerative Governance Platform on Rootstock (RSK), and to support two upcoming NetX State activations in Q4 2025: Edge City Patagonia and Devconnect Buenos Aires. Built with WakeUp Labs, the MVP will coordinate local DAOs managing tokenized RWAs and channel BTCFi flows into real-world impact.

7. Value Prop for Rootstock ![]()
NetX State was created to provide a real governance layer for regenerative nodes across LATAM bioregions — connecting global startups, VCs, and impact investors to freely exchange and collaborate. By integrating Bitcoin and Rootstock as foundational technologies, the platform enables these collective actors to coordinate tokenized assets, community treasuries, and BTCFi flows into tangible impact.
The ultimate goal is to cultivate a cosmo-local marketplace for regenerative value creation, where capital and communities align to leave places and lives better than before.
There is currently no infrastructure that directly connects regenerative communities with decentralized governance and crypto capital. NetX State fills this gap, becoming Rootstock’s and Bitcoin’s entry point into Regenerative Finance and the emerging Network State movement.
This proposal funds the MVP development while ensuring Rootstock’s presence in two high-profile events — Edge City Patagonia and DevConnect Argentina — positioning it at the heart of ReFi with real adoption, strategic visibility, and global narrative leadership.
8. Ecosystem Benefits
-
New developments on Rootstock: Launching the first digital governance platform for regenerative economies within the Rootstock ecosystem — a new category of infrastructure.
-
User onboarding: Bringing in new users through LATAM-based hubs, where local communities, startups, and investors directly interact with Rootstock-powered governance.
-
ReFi leadership: Positioning Rootstock and Bitcoin at the entry point to Regenerative Finance and Network States, a space still fragmented and without a clear market leader.
-
Developer & partner activation: Hosting Web3 residencies (Edge City Patagonia + DevConnect Buenos Aires) for hands-on collaboration, building tools, and testing governance models on Rootstock.
-
Visibility & adoption: Strategic co-marketing, storytelling from the ground, and high-profile representation at international ReFi and Web3 events — ensuring Rootstock is seen as a central player in the global regenerative finance narrative.
9. Grant KPIs Aligned with Rootstock Collective
-
Platform Launch: Regenerative Governance Platform MVP + core smart contracts deployed on Rootstock Mainnet.
-
User Onboarding: 200+ new users onboarded through LATAM-based regenerative hubs.
-
ReFi Use Cases: First live implementations of ReFi governance and BTCFi flows on Rootstock during Edge City Patagonia or DevConnect Argentina.
-
Community Engagement: At least 8 Rootstock-focused talks, workshops, or panels highlighting ReFi and Network States.
-
Developer Activation: 15+ developers and partners engaged through hands-on Web3 residencies.
-
Ecosystem Visibility: Minimum 3 official Rootstock features (blog posts, X threads, or community calls) documenting milestones.
-
Global Positioning: Representation of Rootstock at 2 high-profile international events, positioning it as a core player in the ReFi and Network State movement, with scope in Argentina and LATAM.
